TW Services' policy of continuous reinvestment has enabled us to expand and improve the scope and quality of our services to match the requirements of our customers and this is more than prevalent at this state of the art recycling and recovery waste transfer centre.
Fundamental to this strategy has been the aim of maximising recycling opportunities and the creation of our Zero to Landfill policy, which means 100% of all of the construction waste we handle is segregated, processed and recycled.
Our skip sizes range from four to 12 cubic yards which provide a very cost-effective way to dispose of bulky waste including furniture and garden waste. For a skip that will be placed on the road, there will be an extra charge of £50.00 (per week) added for a permit from the council. If a permit is required, it takes 3 days to obtain permission from the local authority so factor this in when you’re planning the hire of your skip.
To help you decide which size skip would be best for you, please refer to our waste skip sizes guide pages. We’ve included skip sizes in yards and skip capacity m3 to give you a good idea of what will fit in each skip.
A waste transfer station is basically a central point where waste is brought in, sorted out, and then sent on to be recycled, treated, or disposed of properly. It’s not the final stop for your waste though – think of it more as a sorting hub.
At our waste transfer station in Richborough – the hub of , we deal with a huge range of materials, separating everything by type so we can recycle as much as possible. It’s a way of managing your waste more efficiently and cutting down what ends up in landfill.
Yes, we handle both household and commercial waste.
Whether you have waste from a domestic skip hire or tonnes of material from a construction or demolition site, it all comes through our waste transfer station.
We’re set up to process large volumes – around 750,000 tonnes a year – so we’ve got the capacity to deal with small jobs as well as big, ongoing commercial work.
No matter where the waste comes from, we treat it all with the same care and process it properly.

When waste arrives, it’s tipped off and then sorted by our team and machinery.
We separate different materials like wood, plastic, concrete, metal, soil, and general mixed waste.
Each type is then either recycled, reused, or sent off to be processed further. For example, hardcore can be crushed and reused as aggregate, and green waste can be used as biomass. It’s all about making sure nothing useful goes to waste.

Our ‘Zero to Landfill’ policy means exactly what it says – none of the construction waste we handle at our waste transfer station ever ends up in landfill.
Everything is sorted, processed and either recycled, reused or turned into something else, like fuel or building material.
It’s taken us a lot of investment and hard work to get to this point, but it’s a big part of how we operate. It’s better for the environment, and it means our customers know their waste is being dealt with responsibly at our waste transfer station.
