Sort it out!

The process starts sorting the waste into different types as it comes in, before eventually going through to our sorting station where its picked by hand. To achieve a reliable operation we always buy the best machinery and our latest purchase was a Liebherr LH24 Material Handler, and with the Dehaco selector grab attachment it acts just like a huge hand!

The new LH 24 benefits from not having a steering wheel which gives you much more room in the cab and great Vision and overall a much better drive to the previous LH24 which had a steering wheel.

Martyn Town, the machine operator says:

"The steering is operated with a left and right button on the right controller which in our opinion make the steering system a lot easier to use. Liebherr have also designed the machine so all visual checks can be made from the floor. It also comes with a more efficient cooling system than the previous model. We can also program individual settings which can be customised for each operator for example; outrigger speed, grab speed, travel acceleration etc."

Also, the latest LH24 has a new on board computer so if there's a problem you can link straight up to Liebherr HQ and they can diagnose the problem before sending the fitter out.
