HGV Mechanic

We’re currently seeking a skilled and motivated HGV Mechanic to join our team at TW Services, a reputable and growing business in the Waste sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced mechanic to work with a fleet of well-maintained vehicles in a professional workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HGVs, trailers, and associated equipment.
• Diagnose and fix mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure all vehicles are roadworthy and compliant with DVSA standards.
• Complete job cards and service reports accurately and timely.
• Work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Participate in on-call rota or overtime as required.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an HGV fitter/mechanic (minimum 2 years preferred).
• Strong understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Full UK driving licence (HGV Class 1 or 2 desirable but not essential).
• Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
